Who this policy covers

This Privacy Policy explains how REM Real Estate Marketing ("REM," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you visit remrealestatemarketing.com (the "Site"), apply to work with us, sign up for our email list, or download one of our free resources.

Information we collect

Information you give us directly:

  • Applying to work with REM. The Apply Here page uses an embedded application form (powered by Dubsado) that collects your name, email address, business or brand details, and any other information you choose to share about your goals and challenges.

  • Signing up for our email list or a free resource. When you subscribe to our newsletter, or download one of our free resources — the Real Estate Newsletter Launch Checklist, the Marketing Strategy Organizer, or the Brand Style Guide — we collect your email address (and any other information the sign-up form asks for) through FloDesk, our email marketing platform.

  • Contacting us. If you reach out through our Contact page or by email, we collect whatever information you include — typically your name, email address, and the content of your message.

Information collected automatically:

  • Site analytics. Like most Squarespace-hosted websites, our Site automatically collects some information about your visit — your IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, time spent on the site, and the site you came from — through Squarespace's built-in analytics.

  • Google Analytics. We use Google Analytics (Google tag / GA4) to understand how visitors use our Site — pages viewed, time on site, general location, and the site you came from. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies to do this. You can learn more about how Google handles this data at policies.google.com/privacy, and you can opt out of Google Analytics tracking across all websites using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

  • Marketing/social analytics. We use Metricool to help us understand how visitors find us through social media and to measure the performance of our marketing. This may involve small tracking pixels embedded on the Site.

  • Affiliate link tracking. Some links on our Toolkit page (for example, to FloDesk, Squarespace, or 99designs) are affiliate links. If you click one, a cookie may be placed by that third party (via our affiliate tracking partners, Impact.com and PartnerStack) to track that the referral came from us, so we can earn a commission if you make a purchase — at no extra cost to you. We disclose this directly on the Toolkit page.

  • Cookies. Our Site uses cookies for basic functionality, analytics, and affiliate tracking as described above. You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings; blocking them may affect how parts of the Site work.

What we don't currently collect:

We do not process payments directly on this Site at this time, so we do not collect or store credit card or other payment information ourselves.

How we use your information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Respond to your application or inquiry and follow up about working together

  • Send the free resource you requested

  • Send newsletters, marketing emails, and updates about REM (you can unsubscribe at any time — every email includes an unsubscribe link, and FloDesk processes those requests)

  • Understand how people use our Site and improve our content and marketing

  • Track affiliate referrals so our vendor partners can attribute commissions correctly

  • Comply with legal obligations, and protect the rights, property, or safety of REM, our clients, or others

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

Who we share information with

We share information only with the service providers that help us run REM, and only as needed for them to do their job:

  • Dubsado — processes applications submitted through Apply Here

  • FloDesk — stores email addresses and sends newsletters and resource deliveries for anyone who opts in

  • Squarespace — hosts our website and provides built-in site analytics

  • Google Analytics — provides website traffic and behavior analytics

  • Metricool — provides social media and marketing analytics

  • Impact.com and PartnerStack — manage affiliate link tracking for our vendor partnerships

Each of these providers has its own privacy policy governing how it handles your data. We encourage you to review theirs if you have questions beyond what's covered here.

We may also disclose information if required by law, or in connection with a merger, sale, or transfer of REM's business.

How long we keep information

We keep information for as long as it's needed for the purposes described in this policy — for example, as long as you remain subscribed to our email list, or as long as needed to respond to and follow up on an application. You can ask us to delete your information at any time (see "Your choices and rights" below).

Your choices and rights

You can:

  • Unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the link in any email we send, or by contacting us directly

  • Ask what information we have about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by emailing hello@remrealestatemarketing.com

  • Opt out of non-essential cookies through your browser settings

If you're a California resident, you may have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), including the right to know what personal information we've collected about you, the right to request deletion, and the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information (REM does not sell personal information).

Children's privacy

Our Site is intended for real estate professionals and business owners, not children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we'll delete it.

Security

We take reasonable steps to protect the information we collect, but no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the effective date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
